5/5

Wheatgrass juice has a vibrant green color and a unique grassy taste. It has a strong and intense flavor, which may take some getting used to. Some describe its taste as slightly sweet or bitter, depending on the individual’s palate.

INGREDIENTS

Fresh wheatgrass shoots

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut about 8-10 inches of wheatgrass from a tray or grown wheatgrass.
  2. Rinse the wheatgrass thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris.
  3. Using a wheatgrass juicer or a high-speed blender, extract the juice from the wheatgrass.
  4. If using a juicer, pass the wheatgrass through the juicer to obtain the juice.
  5. If using a blender, add a small amount of water to the blender along with the wheatgrass and blend on high speed until well blended. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to separate the juice from the pulp.
  6. Collect the wheatgrass juice in a glass or container and discard the remaining pulp.
  7. Drink the wheatgrass juice immediately to obtain the maximum nutritional benefits.

TIPS

  1. Use fresh wheatgrass for the best flavor and nutrient content. You can grow your own wheatgrass at home or purchase it from health food stores or juice bars.
  2. Start with a small amount of wheatgrass juice, such as 1-2 ounces, and gradually increase the quantity as your body adjusts to it.
  3. To enhance the taste, you can mix wheatgrass juice with other juices like apple, lemon, or cucumber juice.
  4. Wheatgrass juice is best consumed on an empty stomach to maximize nutrient absorption.
  5. Store any leftover wheatgrass juice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a day to preserve its freshness. However, it is recommended to consume it immediately after juicing for the highest nutrient content.
  6. If you don’t have access to fresh wheatgrass, you can also find wheatgrass powder or frozen wheatgrass juice as an alternative.
