Tropical Turmeric Shake

5/5

The Tropical Turmeric Shake is a refreshing and nutritious beverage that combines the goodness of tropical fruits with the powerful anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric. This shake is packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and a hint of spiciness from the turmeric, making it a delightful and healthy option for a morning pick-me-up or a post-workout refresher.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup coconut milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • A squeeze of fresh lime juice
  • Ice cubes (optional, for a thicker shake)
  • Fresh mint leaves or pineapple slice for garnish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a blender, add the frozen pineapple chunks and frozen mango chunks.

  2. Peel a ripe banana and add it to the blender.

  3. Pour one cup of coconut milk (or any milk of your preference) into the blender. The coconut milk adds a creamy and tropical flavor to the shake.

  4. Add 1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric and 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger to the blender. Turmeric and ginger provide not only vibrant color but also their health-boosting properties.

  5. Optionally, add one tablespoon of honey or maple syrup for added sweetness. Adjust the amount of sweetener based on your taste preferences.

  6. Squeeze a bit of fresh lime juice into the blender. Lime juice adds a zesty kick to balance the sweetness and enhance the tropical flavors.

  7. If you prefer a thicker shake, you can add a few ice cubes to the blender.

  8. Blend all the ingredients until the shake becomes smooth and creamy.

  9. Taste the shake and adjust the sweetness or spiciness, if needed.

  10. Pour the Tropical Turmeric Shake into serving glasses.

  11. Optionally, garnish the shake with a few fresh mint leaves or a slice of pineapple for a tropical touch.

  12. Serve the Tropical Turmeric Shake immediately and enjoy the refreshing and nutritious blend of tropical fruits and turmeric

TIPS

  1. For a creamier consistency, you can use frozen banana slices instead of fresh banana.

  2. Feel free to add other tropical fruits like papaya, guava, or passion fruit to enhance the tropical flavor.

  3. Adjust the amount of turmeric and ginger according to your taste preferences. If you prefer a spicier shake, you can add more ginger.

  4. If you’re using sweetened coconut milk or any sweetened milk alternative, you may need to adjust the amount of additional sweetener added to the shake.

  5. Add a pinch of black pepper to the shake to enhance the absorption of turmeric’s beneficial compounds.
