MUTTON KEEMA WITH QUINOA RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams mutton keema (minced mutton)
- 1 cup quinoa
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Rinse the quinoa thoroughly under cold water and drain. Cook the quinoa according to the package instructions. Once cooked, fluff it with a fork and set it aside.
Heat oil in a large pan or skillet over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add the chopped onion and green chilies to the pan. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
Add the ginger-garlic paste to the pan and cook for a minute until the raw aroma disappears.
Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they become soft and mushy.
Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well.
Add the mutton keema to the pan and mix it with the spices. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mutton is cooked through.
Add the garam masala to the pan and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Remove the pan from heat. Serve the mutton keema over a bed of cooked quinoa.
Garnish with fresh cilantro, if desired.
