Mini Meatballs

5/5

Mini meatballs are bite-sized, flavorful, and versatile. They can be served as appetizers, added to pasta dishes, or used in sandwiches and wraps. These homemade meatballs are easy to make and can be customized with your favorite herbs and spices. They are perfect for entertaining or as a family-friendly meal option.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, pork, chicken, or a combination)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (or your preferred herbs and spices)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for greasing

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, dried Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking oil.

  3. Shape the meat mixture into small, bite-sized meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each meatball.

  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.

  5. Once cooked, remove the meatballs from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

  6. Serve the mini meatballs as desired. They can be enjoyed on their own with dipping sauces, added to pasta dishes, or used in sandwiches and wraps.

TIPS

  1. Use a combination of ground meats for added flavor. For example, a mix of beef and pork can create a delicious combination.
  2. Customize the seasonings to your liking. Feel free to add additional herbs, spices, or seasonings such as chili flakes, paprika, or cumin.
  3. If you prefer a healthier option, you can bake the meatballs instead of frying them.
  4. These meatballs can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for a few days. They can also be frozen for longer-term storage.
  5. Serve the mini meatballs with your favorite sauces or dips, such as marinara sauce, barbecue sauce, or tzatziki sauce.
