INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS
- Rinse the masoor dal thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear.
- In a pressure cooker or a pot, add the masoor dal, water, chopped onions, tomatoes, minced garlic, grated ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- Pressure cook for about 4-5 whistles or simmer on the stovetop until the dal is cooked and soft.
- Once the dal is cooked, use a hand blender or a whisk to blend it until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more water if desired.
