INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups cauliflower florets
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (such as canola or peanut oil)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions or sesame seeds for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat.

  2. Add thinly sliced onion and sauté until it becomes translucent.

  3. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  4. Add cauliflower florets to the skillet and stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until they start to brown and become slightly tender.

  5. Add shredded cabbage to the skillet and continue stir-frying for another 3-4 minutes until the cabbage is wilted and the vegetables are cooked to your desired level of crispiness.

  6. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

  7. Pour the sauce over the stir-fried vegetables in the skillet.
