Buffalo Chicken Sliders

5/5

Buffalo Chicken Sliders are a delicious and flavorful appetizer or main dish that features tender and juicy chicken tossed in spicy buffalo sauce. The chicken is then placed on soft slider buns and topped with creamy coleslaw and tangy blue cheese dressing. These sliders are perfect for game days, parties, or any casual gathering where you want to impress your guests with a crowd-pleasing dish.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Slider buns
  • Coleslaw
  • Blue cheese dressing
  • Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, etc.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.

  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  3. In a small bowl, combine the hot sauce and melted butter.

  4. Place the chicken breasts on the preheated grill and brush them generously with the hot sauce and butter mixture.

  5. Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and is no longer pink in the center. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the chicken breasts.

  6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, slice or shred the chicken into smaller pieces.

  7. To assemble the sliders, place a spoonful of coleslaw on the bottom half of each slider bun. Top with a portion of the grilled chicken and drizzle with blue cheese dressing.

  8. Add any optional toppings, such as sliced tomatoes, lettuce, or pickles, if desired.

  9. Cover the sliders with the top half of the buns.

  10. Serve the Buffalo Chicken Sliders immediately while they are still warm. They can be enjoyed as an appetizer or served with a side of fries or salad for a complete meal.

TIPS

  1. Adjust the amount of hot sauce according to your spice preference. You can add more or less to adjust the level of heat.
  2. If you don’t have a grill, you can also cook the chicken on a stovetop using a grill pan or a regular skillet.
  3. Feel free to customize the toppings to your liking. Add sliced tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, or any other favorite condiments.
  4. Serve the sliders with extra hot sauce or blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
  5. Use slider-sized buns for individual servings, or you can also use regular-sized buns if desired.
  6. Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat it gently before using it in sandwiches or salads.
  7. If you prefer a milder flavor, you can use a milder hot sauce or a combination of hot sauce and barbecue sauce.
  8. These sliders are also delicious with a side of crispy sweet potato fries or a fresh garden salad.
