5/5

Baked Tofu Nuggets are a flavorful and nutritious alternative to traditional chicken nuggets. Made with tofu, these nuggets are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They are seasoned with herbs and spices, making them a delicious and satisfying plant-based protein option. Enjoy them as a snack, appetizer, or as a protein-packed addition to salads or bowls.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast (optional)
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Drain and press the tofu to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into small nugget-sized pieces.
  3. In a shallow bowl, combine the cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and nutritional yeast (if using).
  4. Coat each tofu nugget with the cornstarch mixture, shaking off any excess.
  5. Place the coated tofu nuggets on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each piece.
  6. Lightly spray or brush the nuggets with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the nuggets are crispy and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
