BAKED BEETROOT CHIPS RECIPE

5/5

: Baked Beetroot Chips are a nutritious and delicious snack that can be enjoyed as part of an Indian weight loss diet. These crispy chips are made from thinly sliced beetroot and baked until they turn crispy and golden. They are a healthier alternative to regular potato chips and are packed with vitamins, minerals, and fiber.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large beetroots
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: dried herbs or spices of your choice (such as paprika, garlic powder, or cumin)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and peel the beetroots. Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, thinly slice the beetroots into uniform slices.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the beetroot slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional herbs or spices you prefer. Make sure all the slices are evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the beetroot slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overlapping the slices to ensure even baking.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20-30 minutes, or until the chips turn crispy and slightly golden. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  6. Once done, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the chips cool completely before serving. They will become crispier as they cool.

TIPS

  1. Use large beetroots for easier slicing and larger chips.
  2. Be sure to slice the beetroots thinly to ensure crispiness. Thicker slices may take longer to bake and may not become as crispy.
  3. Experiment with different herbs and spices to add flavor to your beetroot chips. You can try sprinkling them with paprika, garlic powder, cumin, or any other spices you enjoy.
  4. Store the baked beetroot chips in an airtight container to maintain their crispiness. They can be stored for a few days at room temperature.
  5. Enjoy the baked beetroot chips as a snack on their own or serve them with a healthy dip, such as Greek yogurt dip or hummus.
